Cold War/寒战

The movie has a compacted story and lots of suspending plots and is really one of the best gangster movies in Hong Kong since "Infernal Affairs". However, I think the whole movie is a little aritificial, put too much emphasis on the suspenses themselves. It is actually a little like "The Promise", where the reason for the start of the war was actually a mantou, while here in the movie the war started actually for the daddy's promotion.

In fact, even we just talk about the suspense setting inside, it is not wise to only disclose the Hong Kong police's so-called top secrets, because it would greatly reduce the list of the suspects. So smart suspects would not disclose very senior police confidential too early.

本片情节紧凑，悬念迭出，确实是自《无间道》之后的较好地香港警匪片。不过，就我的感觉来说，全片有点用力过猛，有点为了悬疑而悬疑的味道，说实话有点像《无极》，看到后面发现原来是因为一个馒头而发动的战争，放在这里，那就是为了让老爸升职而发生的战争。

其实，单就里面的悬念设置来说，一味地泄漏所谓的警方最高机密并不明智，因为这会大大缩减嫌疑人范围，所以聪明的嫌疑犯是不会那么早就泄漏那么高级的警方机密的。
