Crazy Alien/疯狂的外星人

To be honest, this movie sucks. Had it not launched during the Spring Festival, its box office would be very vulnerable.

The story framework was similar to "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" (the poster was even mocked from the "ET") and "Paul", but the whole movie was very poor and a clumsy mock to the two precedent ones.

The worst shortcoming of this movie lay in the lack of logic of all of the roles in the movie: all of them demonstrated sort of low ability of dealing with others: an aggregated alien as the inter-planet diplomat, a childish American as the astronaut in touching with aliens, a so-called strongest agent who did not know how to look for aliens, two Chinese guys who can only please the alien with alcohol, -- and finally the alien was happy just because he was drunk?! Oh come on, What a mess!

Maybe the director wanted to make a comedy? No, some parts of the movie did not look so. It was like a comedy, but you just had nothing to smile at. At the last half of the movie, you can do nothing but awkwardly wait the ending of the movie.

Ning Hao the director said the movie was adapted from Liu Cixin(刘慈欣)'s sci-fi work "A Rural Teacher", but he adapted too much that the movie almost had nothing to do with the novel. Liu Cixin said he would give up the authorship as the movie was actually telling a different story from his original novel. He was smart, because the movie was really a failure compared to its box office.
