As the first "A Better Tomorrow" is so heated, the producer made this sequel as soon as possible. The story-line continued to tell a story in the mafia world, Yun-Fat Chow, dead in the first episode, was reborn in this sequel as he had become a truly star due to his shining performance.
However, the producer team hurried too much to make this movie as they repeated their routines in the last one, which undermined the whole movie. The audience would like to watch the heroes, but too much routines would ruin it.
