Legend of the Demon Cat/妖猫传

Adapted from a Japanese cartoon, the movie tries to re-build the dream of Great Tang Dynasty and the well-known love story of Yang Guifei under the greatness. Chen Kaige, the driector, almost made it as this story is just his style, but failed letting the audience feel that this movie is still a draft rather than a finished one.

I think the director made a mistake in choosing the actresses for the role of Yang Guifei. Maybe Zhang Yuqi is the better one.

A little piece of advice: the lead actors don't need to walk around all the time; the walking has nothing to do with the plot while consuming the audience's attention.
