Big Fish/大鱼

This is a really warm movie. Although it focused on the relationship between a father and his son, it told the audience more, as it was about the whole life of the father.

At the beginning, the son could not understand his father since he thought his father had talked too much nonsense. Yet, as he started to trace his father's life-long steps and tried to think as his father thought, he understood his father more and more, and we the audience saw a good father more and more clearly. This father liked to tell various magic stories, but everyone of them was practically real.

The part about China in this movie (like the Korean War) was really funny in this movie. Actually the so-called North Korean Army Officials spoken Cantonese (a Chinese language different from Putonghua/mandarin), and their costumes were really in Chinese style. -- Did Tim Burton not know the difference between North Korea and China or did he just lie down on the job here?
